Professional Deep Clean for a Ferrari 812 Superfast in Houston: Our Exact Process

Last week, we had the chance to detail one of the most powerful and beautiful cars on the road — a Ferrari 812 Superfast. This V12 monster pushes over 800 horsepower, and with a car like this, every detail matters. The owner booked our full-service mobile detail with paint enhancement and ceramic coating. Here’s how we brought it back to showroom condition, right in the heart of Houston.
1. Initial Walkthrough & Surface Evaluation
Before we touch the vehicle, we perform a full walkaround under both natural and artificial light to assess the condition of the paint, glass, wheels, and trim. For this Ferrari, the paint was in good shape with no swirls or scratches, but there was surface contamination and a loss of slickness which is a clear sign it needed proper decontamination and a protection refresh.
2. Foam Pre-Wash & Hand Wash
We began with a thick foam pre-wash using a pH-neutral soap. This step breaks down dirt, pollen, and road film before any contact is made which helps in minimizing the risk of marring.
Next, we hand-washed the vehicle using the two-bucket method and ultra-soft microfiber mitts. This approach ensures that dirt is never reintroduced to the paint during washing, maintaining the clarity of the clear coat.
3. Chemical Decontamination & Clay Bar Treatment
After rinsing, we applied an iron remover to target embedded contaminants like brake dust and industrial fallout. Once the surface was chemically clean, we moved on to a clay bar treatment, which safely removed bonded particles from the paint, glass, and trim. The result? A perfectly smooth surface , the ideal prep for any protective product.
5. Final Touches: Wheels, Glass, Trim
Wheels and tires were degreased, cleaned, and dressed with a non-sling tire dressing
Glass was cleaned and polished inside and out
Exhaust tips and lower trim were wiped down for a complete finish
No interior service was requested, but we still did a light dusting of door jambs and touchpoints out of courtesy.
